Technology GWC SS1280 USB test

So I began reading this book as an assignment. In one of my college courses this semester we were asked to participate in a book club. Several books were offered as selections and after reading many reviews on-line I chose to read The Help. Having never participated in a book club before and knowing that I don’t often fair well with “assigned” readings, I was all but eager to get started. Much to my surprise I couldn’t put it down! This book is amazing.
Set in Jackson, Mississippi in the early 1960’s, this story walks you through the lives of three brave women who struggle to overcome racial injustice during the Civil Rights Movement. Stockett alternates between the three main characters, Aibeleen, Skeeter and Minnie, giving them each a turn to narrate. I really liked this style of writing because it allowed you to see the events unfold through the eyes of each character. Each character is so well developed and has such a strong voice that it is hard to believe that it is a work of fiction.
This book made me laugh, cry and most of all think. I have recommended it to all of my friends and so far none have been disappointed. I would not be surprised if this book is soon made into a movie or a sequel arises. I couldn’t believe that this was Stockett’s first book! What a great read!

I love USB Cable Charge Sync

I have no idea if the unit even works because it’s not compatible with all computers but the description doesn’t state that.
Also, you don’t need any extra cables as it’s included in the package.

GB USB 320 Verbatim deal

I bought the drive thinking I just scored a good deal on an external. The drive is simple with no added features which does not bother me at all. The problem I have and that 2 other friends have with the same drive is the USB port on the external goes loose and doesn’t hold its connection well. I thought it was just the one I bought because electronics I buy love to go nuts when I touch it but then 2 other friends reported the same problem. So all in all I would say stick with the expensive ones. Don’t be cheap when it comes to externals, I recommend Seagate or Western Digital, I have a few of each of those and I have had no problems.

Hello Mini Smart USB Touch

As of today I have not completed this book. So far I have been very disappointed. It is not for children to read as it is so vulgar it disgust me. I am no prude but it seems no sentence is complete with out repeated curse words. Louise

N USB Wireless High series

This adapter is a good product with a few limitations.

-When plugged into the USB port, it hangs down because it is so heavy. If something is not used to prop it up so it returns to a 90 degree angle, it will slip out of the port from time to time. Also, I worry that the weight will ruin the port by bending the metal. You will have to designate something to prop it up while in use.

-I use this to boost the signal from my media player to the computer. The only way it will boost the signal is if there is a direct and clear path between the player and the modem. The modem can not be in another room, behind a closed door, or even behind a room divider screen. The signal will become choppy and that is no good for streaming media.

If you can live with these limitations, it is a fantastic tool for the price.

320GB USB External Powered and you

The Kindle is for reading books. That is a period at the end of the last sentence.

Everything else doesn’t matter.

The only downside, images aren’t as clear as they should be… that is, drawings, graphs, charts, tables, etc. are blurry and you can’t zoom on them (often).

Do you really like Cable USB for Coiled ?

Mine came and did not work. Per the directions, I stood on the scale, it was supposed to weigh me, and then calibrate. After calibration you are to step of the scale, let it turn off, and then step back on to get your actual weight. When I stood back on the scale, it weighed me as 0.0 lbs, I am no where near the 400lb max for this scale so there is no reason it shouldn’t have worked. Then, when I returned it to Amazon, it cost me $20 to send back, I only get reimbursed $8 from Amazon. So really I paid $12 so I could go back to having no scale at all. Thanks Amazon!

Say hi to Coiled Cable USB for

So I live in off-campus housing for school, and my car is usually parked in a parking garage for a better part of the month. The problem with having the little suction cup is that if its still there even with out the GPS, there is a risk of it being stolen (theft is a very common occurrence on a college campus). Then taking it off becomes a hassle, since well A) there is a residue on the windshield and B) the hope that successive reapplications of the suction cup will actually hold after the suction cup has either collected dust or become brittle.

The solution? Well this friction mount works really well. At first I though perhaps it would slip off, but the rubber mount and the weight (little bean bag weights) hold it down firm. I don’t have to worry about the windshield residue or even taking something off my windshield anymore. All I do is park my car, take off my GPS and take it with me (I never leave it in my car) and then take the mount and stuff it just in front of the passenger’s seat. Works perfectly!

The only complaints I have is that its a little bulky but often times it is still possible to hide. Also, the constant removal from the dash to the floor does get some dust underneath so you have to brush it off every now and then.

All in all, very useful product. As long as you’re not making sudden turns (and I mean like practically drifting) then this thing will just stay in place. I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking to replace that annoying suction cup on the windshield.
