It is interesting an engaging. On the other hand I hate Holden Caulfield. He is terribly annoying and mean spirited. I understand how he fits well into the construct of the story but I know if I met someone like that in real life I would punch him in the face. He is so unlikable that I cringe whenever Holden speaks. If I could relate to him in any way I would have liked him more, but I do not.
