An engaging first novel by Kathryn Stockett which transports the reader to circa 1960’s Mississippi. This is a story about racism, cruelty, violence and shame but it is also about hope, caring, love and change. A novel set in a culture and society that puts limits on people and ideas and a brave group of women who defy that. It is a first class example of great story telling. All of the characters; Abiliene, Hilly,Skeeter,Minny and others are so richly developed they come to have meaning outside their roles as housewives and maids. In essence it’s what the book is about. Each person tells their story so that the reader can empathize with them as complete people and not just their role. You will laugh, cry, hate, love, cringe, approve, disapprove because Stockett’s writing encourages the reader to have a real emotional connection with the characters. This book is sure to cause deep reflection for the women who read it and discuss it. In the end, Stockett has created an uplifting novel which illustrates beautifully how women through their bonds can change the world.

The Wii is what you expect. The graphics are good enough and the games so far are pretty fun. I do like that it has the weather and stuff on the main page.

When my mother sent this book to me I did not think would enjoy it. After the first few pages I was hooked. What a truly enjoyable read.

I don’t usually give products one star, but this one definitely deserved it! I used it once and although it gave a good clean, it was not as good as my previous Bissell. I always use the the attachment hose, and I need a cleaner that I can get the hose out quickly, not have to modify the tank and plug it in. There was minimal suction on the hose and the water literally poured out of the button hole. I did also notice that it did not get the side of the carpet as clean as the Bissell. The second time I went to use it there was no suction at all. I tried all the troubleshooting solutions and still no suction, but a very wet floor. I was upset when my Bissell of 2 years quit on me, but I used it 1-2 times a month, so I got a lot of use out of it. I have now returned the Hoover and bought a new Bissell, which I love. It cleans better, it has a much better attachment hose, it does actually heat up, unlike the Hoover which is luke warm, and I managed to get the Bissell cheaper than the Hoover.

Neale is on target! Finally! Everything I ever felt about GOD has been revealed In this “new” way! All my life I’ve been told I was going to HELL because I just couldn’t be good enough. I was just “too human” I guess. Why would a “LOVING GOD” make me the way I am, and then condemn me for being that way??? Yes ,I know we have free will and choice, but WHY was I choosing ,or being the ways that were so supposedly wrong?? I couldn’t help it. Sometimes I felt or acted a way that wasn’t “appropriate” According to “OUR WESTERN BIBLE”. This caused me to research other, more ancient religions. The TRUTHS began to seep out according to my soul. Now I live and act according to MY OWN TRUTHS as I FEEL them being revealed by GOD. Why can’t GOD speak to any of us as HE did in times of old? Did He not tell us that He is no respecter of persons?? People, HE is there. You have but to listen. Listen to the still, quiet voice that resides within your soul. He has no so called “chosen” people. WE are THE CHOSEN PEOPLE!! I have never been happier or more at PEACE, and if you think that is “Demonic” then you need to re-evaluate what your God is to you. GOD IS LOVE. LOVE FEELS GOOD. Love feels Giving. Love feels Compassionate. Love feels Forgiving. Love feels FREE, Love feels that all is right with the world, even in it’s current condition and WE can make it better if we so choose. As a group or an individual. I now choose to live my life according to the God I feel within me. Folks, He really is as close as Neale speaks. PLEASE, just LISTEN. Say what you want, but you can not deny THE TRUTH THAT YOU FEEL IN YOUR OWN HEART AND SOUL. BLESSED BE. . MY PEACE I LEAVE UNTO YOU.;).

I have had a Casio watch for about a year and now the watchband needs replaced. I was informed by Walmart that they cannot replace a Casio watchband. I called Casio and they told me that as far as they know NO CASIO WATCHBAND CAN BE REPLACED BY A NORMAL WATCHBAND! I had to order a watchband from Casio and they had to know which model it was before I ordered it. Total price: $12.00 shipping, handling and sales tax included. I then asked the representative if instructions would be included because it was a different type of setup instead of pins. HE SAID THAT THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO RECOMMEND TAKING THE BAND TO A JEWELER TO HAVE IT PUT ON!! PLEASE BEWARE OF THIS AS BANDS DO NOT LAST FOREVER!!

This is a perfect watch for sports and every day use. I love most the TR timer- for cooking, running, watering your plants, taking a short nap. I can see the numbers without my glasses. A very good buy.

I have been buying these watches because you can enter appointments into the watch’s memory using its keyboard rather than having to rely on a PC-based interface. The watch also has stopwatch and timer functions that I like. Other watches seem to lack this particular functionality. They rely on PC’s to do the input which is inconvenient when you don’t have a PC around.
Five stars for functionaliy.
Now to the problem. The body is weak. Typically the part where the pin holding the wrist strap is anchored to breaks off after about two years because the body is plastic. The gasket keeping the watch somewhat water-resistant distends. I wish they’d put this watch in a G-shock body.
One star for robustnes.
