I will make this review short and sweet…I purchased Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007 from Continential Enterprises (heading on their email to me). When I tried to activate it, I was told by both my computer and the Microsoft telephone activation center that the Product Code was invalid and had been installed on the maximum number of computer PRIOR to my purchase. WOW! People never cease to amaze me. BEWARE!

Saturday Night Live 25

This was a pleasant surprise for me a few years back when this came out. I had always been a fan of Victor Wooten, and I love Fretless bass, so when I got this introduction to Steve Bailey, I was blown AWAY! Anyone who does not think that you can make music with one drummer and two bass players, you are sorely mistaken. The songs are all catchy and groove hard with great improvisation displayed throughout the work. In addition to the awesome DVD, there are moments in between the tracks where Victor and Steve explain their approach and techniques in doing these tracks. This was done at a time when the two had just started working together, and now after this many years, I would love to see a Bass Extremes, The Return. It is long overdue!

I was kind of hesitant to buy this card because the price seemed too good to be true. I stuck it in my kodak playsport and it gave it that HD picture I was looking for. You should definitely buy!
Sidesixtyseven Beyond Warped Live

The scale was shipped promptly and arrived in good condition. I’ve had it a few weeks now, and it’s served very well so far. Accurate and precise. Always gives the same reading twice in a row. (Per instructions, you have to calibrate it when setting up or moving to a new location by stepping on and off a few times, of course.) Excellent product! The batteries were easy to find, and extra well-marked thanks to others who complained in their reviews. But the markings were more amusing than necessary.

Highly recommended!
Tribal LA Live In

Cash is always good to listen to, but on this DVD it was clear he was having some trouble hitting a few notes, his wife too. This was not his glory days’ voice of the Folsom Prison Blues era. Cash shows his age in this DVD and it hit me hard since I have been a casual and eager listener to his music for decades. I almost could not imagine him being older and beyond his prime, but when I bought this DVD the reality hit.

From the behind-the-scenes practice and dress rehersal on this DVD, it’s apparent that the Pixies were not particularly comfortable performing an acoustic set. They had no reason to be nervous. It takes a lot more than a distortion pedal to make a Pixies song a Pixies song, and removing it just brings those signature elements to the surface. In particular, Joey’s expressive guitar playing. Sounds I once assumed to be synthetic are now obviously the result of his gonzo style. But everyone contributes, and the clean acoustic arrangements make the sheer energy and catchiness of many Pixies songs stand out. How can you not sing along to “Hey” or “Gigantic”?

Pixies fans will buy this DVD regardless, but I think it may make a great introduction for new listeners. If you’re just curious about the Pixies, give it a listen. Sing along a little. You’ll like it.

May be 20 years old now but still its a kind of magic, absolutely fantastic, truly the best live grand scale rock concert performance of all time. A time of music, when singers sang out loud and passionately to wonderful soaring melodies not mumbling words into a microphone to a dull repetitive beat. Freddie’s marvellous voice carries the band through such Queen classics as “One Vision” with that fabulous buildup intro, “Radio Ga Ga and “Hammer to Fall” and many others. I can honestly say I enjoyed every track.
