There is no longer a Firewire 400 connection from the G-drive mini. G-tech customer support told me that the Firewire 800 was backward compatible to the 400 on my PowerMac G4 (OS 10.3.9), but when I plugged the cable into the back of my tower, I heard a loud electrical “crack”! (Neither my computer nor the G-drive was turned on).No damage done that I know of. I then tried the USB 2.0 connection to my USB 1.1 on the tower, but no icon came up on my desktop. This device was supposedly pre-formatted and desktop ready. So I then tried to format it in my Disk Utility, but the progress bar was so slow that it seemed to have stopped completely. I’m returning this to the Apple store on Monday.

its suction power is OK, a bit cheaplooking. Once received it, I was excited to try it. However, after operating for exactly 15 minutes something got caught inside, the belt was broken, it got hot and burning smell was everywhere. Returned it the next day. I got “Hoover Elite Rewind Bagless Upright Vacuum” instead, about 20$ more expensive but much nice and expensive looking, suction power is great, rewind wire, bagless, air-circulation mark… I love the bagless one. Bottom line, DO NOT BUY, WASTE OF MONEY. Pay a bit more and get a better machine.

Not a whole lot to say, except that this is exactly what I wanted. Very simple, not a lot of bells and whistles, but it was cheap and gets the floors incredibly clean. If you’re a poor grad student like me who only needs to clean your carpets for as little money as possible, BUY THIS VACUUM!

Ordered this, received it within a couple of days…with many pieces floating around the box…in the actual machine box (no special packing around the box, which was not meant to ship something this heavy in). Anyway, long story short, the item was damaged and returned. That’s the bad news. The good news is Amazon quickly credited my purchase and I’m a happy camper. After that experience, I was nervous to purchase something so large online and I was able to find this at WalMart, for about the same price…so that is where the five stars comes in, as I have been bought and used it and love it. It isn’t as sturdy or those carpet cleaners you can rent from the store, but really, does it have to be??? It is bulky, kind of heavy, but for a carpet cleaner, not really. It does a great job of cleaning. I hadn’t steam cleaned my carpets since moving into my place a year and a half ago and am not someone with a great deal of dirt and grime, no outside animals, no children…so my carpets shouldn’t get that dirty. The cleaner pulled some dirt up, for sure…lot’s of sand from one room, in particular (I live right on the beach). Anyway, it’s money well spent…I just wouldn’t have it shipped.

Great book.. totally unexpected that I would like it this much… Slow start but hang in there you won’t be sorry. I was totally sorry to see the book end. A good sign that the author captured the reader.
Will be looking forward to more books from her..

This game takes computer gaming to a whole new level. There’s nothing like it…period. So it’s gonna be around for a while. Be sure to read the instructions as they will save you lots and lots of headaches. It takes a while to get the bugs out of the OS. But the instructions do a great job of walking you through it.
