I have the 16GB version of this card. I can’t tell you definitively that it doesn’t live up to its Class 6 rating, but it is about half the speed of my bro-in-law’s Class 4 SDHC 8GB card from Sandisk.

This card has not lost any data in the couple months I’ve had it. It’s also big enough that I’ve never filled it–only once past halfway. This is really nice–to be able to use my camera for days without worrying about emptying the card is just superb.

Its downside is the lack of speed–copying files down to my PC, laptop, or brother-in-law’s laptop consistently ran at about half the speed of his Sandisk 8GB Class 4. A couple times I’ve missed shots because my camera (Rebel 2Ti) was emptying its buffer to this card.

If you want big, cheap, and willing to live with slow, get this card. I am actually okay with the card, but I will be replacing it with a faster card and using this only as a backup.

You all heard the saying. You all said the saying: ‘If I had a nickel….’ Well let’s try it on Miss Meyer’s vocabulary skills. I gave Twilight a chance and after halfway through the third book I couldn’t read anymore. Stephenie Meyer has the vocabulary skills of a thrid grader at best. Now before you hassle me on her skills, let’s take a look. It’s not the same word here or there. It’s everywhere. Let’s start with the most used word: ‘Slowly’.

I used Amazon’s SEARCH INSIDE page on all four books of Twilight. Can any of you guess what the grand total was? Not 100. Not 200. It was 244 times. 244 times she used the word ’slowly’. Now let’s use that old saying. 244 nickels is twenty-four dollars and forty cents. I can fill my gas tank almost all the way with that kind of money. Still not convinced? Okay, ’slowly’ can be used alot by some authors. Let’s let at some more.

‘Perfect’ is the second highest. Edward’s perfect face is said so many times with the word ‘perfect’. The total? 162 times. That’s sixteen dollars and twenty cents.

let’s add together ‘grimace’ and ‘grimaced’. Total? 49 times.

And finally, Edward’s ‘crooked’ smile. Total? 19 times.

When you add up the grand total of all these excess words, you get a whopping 474 over used words. Nearly fifty dollars in nickels. I can not only fill up my gas tank all the way but I can enjoy myself with a coffee and pastry at Starbucks and a mass-market book to read while I’m there with more to spare in my pocket.

Stephanie Myeyer, please for the love of God, get yourself a thesaurus! For all our sakes, please stop!

This review will be nothing as eloquent as what you’ve probably previously read. I’ll keep it simple and to the point. The author took a subject which life, time and history has told over, and over and over again — it’s an ugly story. Yet she managed to make her story unique in it’s own way. She did an excellent job developing her characters and readers will love Aibileen and Minnie, the main characters AND who could not be more opposite from one another. At first glance the book’s volume may seem imposing but once you start reading it the 400+ pages go by quickly. You will laugh, cry, be shocked, sickened, disappointed and find yourself rooting for Minnie and Aibileen. While you may not ever look at a chocolate cake quite the same again (read the book and you’ll know what I mean), you cannot help but admire the strength of Minnie and at the same time feel a bitter/sweet sadness for both ladies at the end. And speaking of the end, I would have hoped for a better ending where some others (other than Skeeter) had a happy ending. But then life does not afford us always the opportunity to write our own ending. Looking forward to this becoming a movie. If you’re like me you like to put a face to your characters and I see Queen Latifah as Minnie — how about you?

I just got my Kindle and I love it. I especially love the fact that whenever I go out I take my Kindle with me because I will read any chance I get. The only negative I have found is, some books aren’t available to me for downloading since I live in Canada. I hope this will change soon.

This was a terrible waste of money. It is a very atractive device that just doesn’t work. It never will run longer than 20 seconds at a time. The battery has plenty of juice because if you wait 30 seconds it will run for another 20 seconds. It works great for 20 seconds.

I absolutely loved this book! I could NOT put it down. I haven’t been able to finish a book in YEARS because I have babies that have been taking all my time but this book was SO THOROUGHLY enjoyable I still can’t get it out of my mind. I hope this author does a national tour because I would love to hear her talk about the book! She’s an extremeley talented writer and I so admired her writing, but it was the story that grabbed me. I know I won’t enjoy her next book as much because it won’t be the same story, so I will cherish this one for a long, long time! Thanks Kathryn, great story!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It may not have all the bells & whistles, but what it does, it does well. We’ve been using it for over a month now. We have a mixture of hardwood, carpeted and vinyl floors. Suction is good, as is the height adjustment. The only complaint is that the hose is a bit short.
