Imagine, carrying many reference books with you at all times. A dream.

PROS:

It is a wonderful device and I am sure it is excellent for serial reading (novels, etc.)

The screen contrast is amazing. It really does look like paper. It is small and light.

CONS:

My big need was for quickly getting around reference documents and it is horrible for that.

I suppose this is a review of content more than the device, with little to no linking.

There is a search function but not very impressive.

It takes so long to find something I am not sure it is worthwhile.

Isn’t that what jesus would want for us anyway..lol. Oh wait, and allah and buddha and all of those wonderful leaders of our souls.

After reading the reviews and the Consumer Reports review, I figured this was worth a shot–I was NOT disappointed. Apple then “upgraded” the operating system from OS3 to OS4 (a software upgrade that happened through iTunes), and now it goes much slower and crashes much more often. Apple does not provide a way to go back to the old operating system, and does not respond to requests for help.

We didn’t have a good place to keep the scale permanently so we kept it in the closet and moved it to the bathroom when we wanted to use it. Called Eatsmart customer service and they were very cooperative and sent me ther “premium” scale (black instead of glass). Decided to find a permanent place for it and its been working fine for the last 2 weeks. Eatsmart customer service is excellent and their scales seem to work great if they are not moved around too often.

I’ve used the cup to my nuvi, but was shelved in favor of the friction device. I often move my Nuvi between cars, making it a very easy process. There are enough grip on the mountain to prevent sliding and sufficient for adequate finger pressure on the touch screen to make selections without disrupting the GPS position. You can rotate the shaft 360 degrees, and even remove the stem to facilitate packaging, if you’re a traveler like me who use the nüvi into different rental cars.
