Cymbeline Robot source code

As part of Robot 250 the Quantum Theatre performing arts group in Pittsburgh created a Cymbeline show that employed something unconventional— text messaging between the play and the audience, plus printers hidden in tall cypress trees that printed out some of the audiences’ responses. We used thermal Pentax printers in the trees and we used the Telit GSM cellphone transceiver to make this possible, with both technologies plugged by USB into a laptop. The laptop interface was created by Aaron Tarnow and is written in Python. For the brave among you, here is the raw code in a zip file that demonstrates both how to talk to the Telit module from Python and how to talk to the Pentax printers from Python with a variety of formatting commands. This is not fully documented and definitely openly released without support- so it is for those who wish to dive deep.
