How did you get interested in robotics?

After talking with academics working in embedded systems in 2003.

What are you working on now?

IPRE (http://roboteducation.org) is a major part of my robotics work, plus I also support academic research in robotics technology, particularly in human-robot interaction and modular robotics. I'm also an active hobbyist, and am particularly interested in the Microsoft Robotics Studio applied to novel robots.

Do you have a favorite tip or advice you'd like to share?

Microsoft Robotics Studio is not limited to the robots listed in the built-in service catalog, but can be applied to any sort of robot with at least a serial connection. There is no concept of a limited set of "supported robots" -- this is a common misconception!
