To be absolutely honest, I have not owned a pedometer before other than inexpensive freebies. This time I was looking for a good one, and I did a lot of research before buying the Omron. It has more functions than most pedometers in this price range. It measures regular movement and aerobic movement separately which I like and resets itself every night at midnight. With a 7-day memory you can see your totals for a full week. I compared it to the quality strength training machines in the gym and the totals on distance and calories burned were very similar. I bought an extra strap because the strap that comes with the Omron has a plastic attachment, and I prefer metal. However, the strap I bought broke the first time I used it. So now I’m using the strap that comes with the Omron pedometer and have had no trouble with it. I would recommend this pedometer to my friends with confidence. I doubt you’ll find a better one at this price point or even up to $15-20 more.

Amazing Book. I read this while on vacation and was able to finish it in only 4 days. The different stories were so interesting and it felt like I knew them and could feel their emotions. Well written for the time.

I am an adult and I enjoyed this book very much. My husband and I have listened to the whole series on audio book (narrated by Nathaniel Parker who performs it fantastically!) and each book is very engagaing, imaginative, funny and well written. As a Library Clerk, I recommend this book and series to people who like Harry Potter or any other kind of fantasy adventure. Once you start this book, you’ll get hooked on the whole series.

I bought this vacuum as a replacement to my old one. I didn’t want to spend much but I really wanted power and after doing my research I noticed that the stand-up bagged vacuums were still the ones with the most suction. At first I didn’t expect much out of this inexpensive vacuum, BOY WAS I WRONG! This machine has plenty of power and that doesn’t go away by adding the extra tools it has. This vacuum is a steal for its powerful punch. Buy this, you WONT regret it!

I purchased this based on a glowing recommendation by Consumer Reports and the many good recommendations here on Amazon. For the first month, it possessed an extreme amount of suction and I felt very pleased with my purchase. However, after approximately one month it started losing suction power. I owned it for a little less than one year before it stopped working entirely. Yes, it is inexpensive but I would rather pay slightly more money and have a better-made vacuum that will last more than one year and will not blow dust out while I vacuum.
Pros: inexpensive, great suction power during the first month
Cons: cheaply-made, belt constantly broke, slightly noisy, could not vacuum bare floors, cord location was inconvenient and I always had to hold the cord while vacuuming, unable to vacuum under furniture, often blew out dust so the floor was never completely clean, attachment holders did not secure them and they constantly fell off while the vacuum was in use, when using attachments it did not pick up pet hair from furniture

This is a tome, first of all. Stephenie Meyers sets a good hook, and then keeps her readers turning page after page after page. She puts out a good, if unlikely, story line. The setting is the little town of Forks on the Olympic Peninsula of Washington state. It almost always rains there. 17 year old Bella Swan left Phoenix and her mother to go live with her father, the town’s police chief, for the last year of high school.
She meets the Cullen family on her first day in the cafeteria–5 impossibly beautiful people with identically pale faces with purple circles under their eyes. They keep to themselves. She ends up as Edward Cullen’s lab partner in Biology II. He reacts as though her smell offends him when she takes the only seat available in class. We learn later that the opposite is true–her smell drives him crazy. Edward saves her on her second day at school when Tyler skids into her truck on the icy parking lot. There is something inhuman about his intervention that others have missed. He tells her she really should stay away from him while at the same time becoming her shadow.
In the sixth chapter, she joins an outing to the beach at La Push. 15 year old Jacob tells her stories of his own Quileute people becoming wolves and the treaty they made with the cold ones. He specifically tells her the Cullens are the same ones his ancestors dealt with. He doesn’t really believe this himself, though; he is flirting with her. She absorbs this information, does some research on vampires, and concludes it’s already too late for her. She’s in love with a vampire.
I found Bella to be annoying. She careens from one impulsive action to the next. She has some unknown qualities at this point. She feels responsible for her parents, superior to her mother, and believes herself capable of stopping the tracker vampire James. Conversations with God : An Uncommon Dialogue by Neale Donald Walsch is a thought provoking book about one man’s relation with God. Walsch spends years writing down questions about religion and God on a legal pad. Out of the blue God starts answering them. It becomes quite complex at times. It’s just nice to see people are interested in what God has to say in this day and age.
If you’re so inclined, and want to read the messages God gave to a man who prayed 1,000,000 prayers than you definitely want to read this Great new book I found about faith, Jesus, God’s message and what we will do in the after-life entitled “The Enlightenment, What God Told Me After One Million Prayers: A Message for Everyone,” by John H. Eagan. It’s really fantastic and the message from God is just amazing. I think the readers of Walsch’s book will really enjoy The Enlightenment. I can’t recommend it enough!

Revitalizing Booster Concentrate

The issue I have with this author is the obvious intent to deceive the potential readers into thinking this is based on Christian beliefs. And with young target audiences, it is very scary. This book is another “new age” individual belief system that is deceptively titled Conversations with God. It seems to support man’s selfish viewpoint of tell me what I want to hear, rather than what is right. Living a life based on long-standing, steadfast beliefs is not easy in todays me-me-me world. This book is too accepting of any and all behavior and actually states there is no sin! While over 35,000 Christian religions have sprouted over the last 500 years, they have mostly been based on someone’s interpretation of the Christian foundation of the Bible. Many of the “answers” provided in the book are totally opposite of what our Christian God teaches to be true. The title should at least be conversations with my god.
