American Splendor suck

As indicated in the title, the Bluetooth is crippled, and I say this because while my cell phone can see the Touch via Bluetooth, my cell phone can’t send anything to the Touch. I have pictures and videos of my son that he wants to see on the Touch, but they just won’t transfer via Bluetooth. Granted, the pictures can be transferred via iTunes and a computer, but I don’t always have my computer with me, and iTunes seems to not want to work properly. Now, having said that, there is a free app, available from the iTunes store that allows the transfer of pictures from one Touch or iPhone to another, but doesn’t allow transfer of pictures from anything else to the Touch. I still haven’t found any way to get a video that I took onto the Touch.

As for the Wi-Fi, I absolutely love this capability, and I use it as often as I can in places where it has already connected to a network. However, I try not to use it in places where I am unsure of Wi-Fi availability, and that is because the process of searching for Wi-Fi really eats the battery life. Just to give you some idea of how much: the battery can be fully charged (as in, it was just unplugged from a charger) and within one minute (and that is a generous estimate) of searching for a Wi-Fi connection, the battery is down by at least a third to almost half of its capacity, and that is not an exaggeration. I generally leave the Wi-Fi feature off unless I can plug in to charge or I know there is Wi-Fi available.

A bit of advice:
1) First and foremost, read the longer, more in-depth reviews posted here. They are definitely worth your time and attention.
2) Get a car and/or wall charger!
3) Try the free apps available in the iTunes app store.
4) If you don’t need the volume control and the built-in mic, get more comfortable earbuds.

All in all, if you want a portable media device that can surf the web, you won’t be disappointed.

3 Resolution piece High model

When I purchased this audio book, I did so because I wanted something I felt would be ‘light’ since I was listening during my evening walks for exercise. I felt it would help pass the time.

I was hooked before the first chapter was over.

During my walks while listening, I found that I both laughed out loud and cried at times, tears flowing down my cheeks, not caring what the passersby thought of me. I saved my audio book for my late night walks alone, when I could listen without interruption. I didn’t want to miss a single word.

And I’m ashamed to say that I never knew about the hired help in the 1960’s, among other things. Never really thought much about how hard it has been for African American people. I’d always believed that the past was the past and ‘that they should have gotten over any anger they harbored by now’. Afterall, it wasn’t me. I never did them any harm. And I’m ashamed of my own actions, my own feelings, my own ignorance.

This book enlightened me on so many things and touched me in so many ways. My 3 year old granddaughter’s father is African American. When I look at my beautiful granddaughter and think about how precious she is to me, I can’t even allow myself to wonder what her life would have been like then.

If I could say anything to Mrs. Stockett, I would say thank you for a beautifully written story. For making us think and for helping us to realize that we all belong to the human race. And that’s really all there is.

Keepers Gate Vol Discovery! must go on

I won’t try to tell you what this book is about….there are many other reviews here that can do that much better than I can….I just want to let you know how it made me feel.
I had the miraculous privilege of growing up with all of our “ole folk”. Both sets of my great-grandparents lived well into their 90’s. For anyone who had this kind of wonder in their lives, you know what a blessing that was….and for those who didn’t…..well my heart aches for your not knowing what you missed. Watching and listening to; in particular, my Grand-dad E. was both heart breaking and fabulous! His mind was sharp and exact till the end…even though sometimes his physical self didn’t follow suit the way he thought it should. Even with all of the frustration that came with getting older and losing control of parts of his life, he always had advice to give and stories to tell. I would stay up at the barn with him all through the summer days, helping him work on his projects while he explained to me how to tell when a snake was venomous or showing me how to brush the horses out at the end of the day, because no matter how tired you where…they had worked harder. I am filled with memories of sitting and listening to him telling tales of when he was in his 20’s and 30’s and what they all did to get by during the depression. He also made sure I knew how wonderful it was to get sit out in the field you’d been working in all day and eat your fill of the melons that were being harvested. Reading this book was like sitting in that barn all of those years ago listening to this man that I love so much, tell me about a world that we can’t even imagine while he showed me the right way to do things in the world that I lived in now.
Reading this book was like spending those summers with my Grand-dad. Sara Gruen made me feel the train swaying as it ran through the night and let me smell the smell of the animals as they stood in the heat of the day waiting to be tended to. She let me c

1 Camp 12 Rock lies

This book is generally considered a classic, and I can understand why. The plot elements are great, but the main character/narrator is not. Holden Caulfield is one of the least sympathetic characters in literary history. His voice is hard to read because it is so annoying. It is hard to imagine any real person speak or think like that, regardless of the time period. For most people, this book is very “Love it or hate it”; I think it is a must read for that reason. Everyone should make up their own mind about it.

Jeremiah 14:14
Then the LORD said to me, “The prophets are prophesying lies in my name. I have not sent them or appointed them or spoken to them. They are prophesying to you false visions, divinations, idolatries [a] and the delusions of their own minds.”

Jeremiah 23:16-17
16 This is what the LORD Almighty says:
“Do not listen to what the prophets are prophesying to you;
they fill you with false hopes.
They speak visions from their own minds,
not from the mouth of the LORD.
17 They keep saying to those who despise me,
‘The LORD says: You will have peace.’
And to all who follow the stubbornness of their hearts
they say, ‘No harm will come to you.’

Lamentations 2:14

14 The visions of your prophets
were false and worthless;
they did not expose your sin
to ward off your captivity.
The oracles they gave you
were false and misleading.

In God’s pure goodness and love he does not want anyone to be left bound to their sin. This is why He paid the ultimate price to free us from sin. All we have to do is accept Christ, not just ignore our sin and pretend it doesn’t exisit. To say there is no sin and therefor no consequences is like saying “There is no such thing as fat in food, so eat up my friends! Enjoy! Rejoice!” Sure it sounds nice and is what we all want to hear, but is void of truth and will lead to complications and an early death. What we need is for our minds and bodies to no longer crave the all the fat, this takes an intrinsic change and a willingness to do so. What is traditionally know as sin is not really the problem, that is all forgiven. What is keeping people separted from God is the pride to not be willing to admit we NEED that forgiveness – that we can’t just have it any way we want, or wish our way out of turmoil and into peace – that we are NOT God, or even gods. We are not, and we cannot.

God is patient, he is waiting, calling, desiring your heart. I

Desktop TechFuel Charger Battery series

This cable is the real thing in terms of quality, construction and durability. The other cheaper cables fell apart while this one keeps strong! I use it every day in a classroom and I love it. Highly recommend!

Why must 26 Sunlite Tube Bicycle

I have been a Kindle owner for the last ten months and I read with pleasure on the device every day! I must admit that the iPad looks nice in comparison. However, my experience is that the e-ink is good for my eyes when I dig in for a long read. Besides this my Kindle is light-weight enough to be comfortable for one-hand reading, for example while reading in bed at night. The cross-platform availability of the Kindle software (I use it on my iPhone, iMac, and MacBook Pro) is great with Whispersync to keep track of my progress, bookmarks, and notes! I think that Amazon’s vast number of books will follow me even if I decide to add an iPad to my reading device arsenal (through the Kindle for iPad app). For the ardent reader I think the Kindle is the best single-purpose reading device on the market since it brings no eye strain and a book-like peace to the reading experience.

Space Electricave L Stella lies

I just recently bought my garmin. Never had a previous version. I chose this because it had HRM, pace monitor, and mileage marker.I have yet to use the HRM because I use it to train for a marathon. My HRM isn’t a big deal at this point. I love it so far. I can set it to alert when I hit a mile or go over/under a specific pace. Very easy to program.
